כל חייל וחיילת שנתנו עדות על שירותם יודעים שיש מחיר לשבירת שתיקה, אבל מחיר השתיקה עצמה הרבה יותר גבוה.
הימין ומחנה הכיבוש אלים כהרגלו – מגדף, מאיים, מסית, מפחיד ומנסה להשתיק את הביקורת של החיילים שחוו את המציאות מקרוב, מנסים להשתיק את האמת שהם מפחדים שהציבור הישראלי ישמע.
אנחנו מעל 1000 חיילים וחיילות ששברו שתיקה, מבינים שזו חובתנו לספר על השירות שלנו. אנחנו מסרבים לשתוק, מסרבים להיכנע להפחדה ולשיח האלים. נמשיך לספר מה נשלחנו לעשות בשטחים ובעזה בשם כולנו.

Every soldier who testified about his or her military service knows
that there is a price to pay for breaking silence, and yet the price of silence itself is much higher.
The right wing and the pro-occupation camp are acting violently, as usual. They curse, threat, incite and intimidate, trying to silence the criticism of soldiers who experienced the situation firsthand, in attempt to hide the truth they fear the Israeli public will discover.
We, over 1000 soldiers who broke the silence, understand that it is our duty to speak about our military service. We refuse to be silent and surrender to a climate of violence and intimidation. We will continue to talk about what we were sent to do in the public’s name, in the West Bank and Gaza.
We will continue to speak, for the sake of our collective future.
